Holroyd Engineering is
a wholly subsidiary of Holroyd Automatics Pty. Ltd a family owned
and operated business that was established by Mr. John Holroyd in
the 1930s .
The business initially specialised in the repair of motor vehicles
however over the ensuing years it expanded and diversified into the
repair and reconditioning of automatic transmissions and torque
convertors .
Today, Holroyd Engineering operates from the family owned site in
the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia . The company employs
approximately 40 people and has a clear focus on manufacturing a
comprehensive range of trailer parts including Axles, Stub Axles,
Hubs, Disc and Drum Brakes. Other parts such as Electric, Hydraulic
and Mechanical Brakes, Leaf Springs, Couplings, Locking Handles,
Hinges etc are imported from overseas manufacturers to our
specifications .
Reconditioning Torque Converters is still an important part of the
business.
Mr. Holroyd's sons now run the business. The trailer parts
manufacturing division is managed by the eldest son Jim who is a
bachelor of Engineering and MBA from Melbourne University. Richard
Holroyd oversees the Torque Convertor division.
Holroyd Engineering has implemented an aggressive growth plan for
the business through the expansion of their product range as well
as customer base through out Australia and New Zealand . As an
additional service to customers Holroyds also offers an in - house
product design service which focuses on personalised attention to
specific design needs for the Agricultural, Marine and Industrial
markets.
